The increased troop presence is in Afghanistan. I am not supportive of that measure.

I am not supportive of Obama's plans for balochistan either. I feel that we need to shake off America's influence, since it has been largely destructive. The foreign policy isn't much except for, "let us kill people with drone attacks, privatize your industry, ally with your military to depose the civilian government when it no longer suits us, and keep a love hate relationship with the Taliban."

speaking of the Taliban, is their presence in balochistan really as big and influential as the U.S. media makes them out to be?

I loved parts of Wales. Some areas have a natural beauty, that combined with relics from the past such as old churches, stone henge, etc, leave a strong impression on you.

do you believe in a "higher power" or to use an economic term, the "invisible hand?" In your opinion, is there a creative/spiritual force that moves and lives through us all?

There's no higher power. There's no invisible hand. There's no spiritual force.

Yea, in light of the scientific view and the overall silliness of the spiritual concept it just seems unreasonable to believe in such forces. I didn't always think that way, but now I do.

science requires just as much belief as any religion. as the Late-great Terence McKenna once said "The Big Bang is the Mother of All Improbabilities." To me the Big Bang is just as likely as the Nordic creation myths or the Sumerian creation myths.

I disagree. Belief is based on either faith or facts/observations. Religious belief requires faith. Scientific belief requires facts and observations.

The accuracy of the latter is better.

but all science is based off the assumption that the big bang is fact, but nobody knows if it is true or not, so that requires belief. While I do believe that Scientific Method is better than religious superstitions for explaining things, for me science cant explain everything, and in fact fails at explaining some things.

I think there is Scientific fundamentalism now-a-days, and to me that is just as bad as religious fundamentalism.

Neither but if you were to put my balls in a vise and threaten to crush them, I would choose family hard-on bearer. Later though I would renounce it and revert back to disliking them both.
