I thought it was a decent track. I liked the 'gallop' riff and the solos were really good as well, and the bass sounded awesome as always. I personally think Bruce could have done a better job on vocals, but overall I thought it was decent and I like it. I think that it will grow on me.

they should stop putting out new music and focus on touring with old songs only. they haven't put out anything interesting since X Factor

:yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyawn:

I became bored as soon as the gallop started, couldn't be arsed to finish the song. It's extremely difficult for me to enjoy bands that don't evolve their sound. I can dig them, but I'll only listen to one or two of their albums in that case, not follow them into their later works. Like this for example. I've heard Maiden go into a galloping riff from their first album to this song. Perhaps I never heard enough to give a more unbiased perspective, but once they started up those triplets I had a montage of studded wristbands and cut bangs wailing along to two headbanging guitarists playing a variety of notes to the same horse-clad riff.

If you get a theme that you work well with then sure, make a couple albums that follow that tried-and-true formula if that's how you produce your best work. But you need to move forward, rehashing the same beats/riffs/ideas for years leads you to be a parody of yourself; much like 80's bands playing together these days that go up pretending it's 1985 (save for all the cellulose and bloating from drug abuse filling what was once proud and stiff spandex).

i doubt that. there's one of those on every album. and i don't mean "every iron maiden album". i really mean every single album ever released has The Prowler on it. so it's really hard to understand what hbw meant. he should be more specific (especially in an Iron Maiden topic :sicken: ). and so should you. whose first album? etc etc...
