I love their Foreverglade + Bluenothing albums and sound. Full-on Evoken-style death/doom, But they shifted to a more 90's sounding symphonic BM thing with their last collab album, and now this. It's alright. Definitely prefer the death doom though :santa:

Phil Tougas is pretty good on this. A bit showboatey, but a solid player.

Came here to post this. New single kicked me square in the dick. Definitely one of the most exciting new bands. Peaceville and Finnish deathdoom mixed with symphonic BM and power metal shred from the Chtheilist guitarist is an incredible combo.

Closest thing I've heard is Mark Riddick's musical project, which has a lot of the same goth clean guitars and 80's shred all over it.

Black doom/death I guess. They model themselves after Unholy but also a lot of peaceville bands lately, and always had a Disembowelment/Thergothon thing going on.

i listened to the new album and it's very nostalgic, lots of listening to dimmu and diabolical masquerade in my latter teen years type of vibe, it's badly bloated though and really needs like 15 minutes or more shaved off

marty friedman is an impressive pull though i wouldn't have seen that one coming

yep finally listened and i'm pretty disappointed. for me this pushes worm into a worship-band rather than expanding on the original coolness

yeah to be clear i don't think concision would make it good, it would just be more considerate to the contingent of listeners that wasn't born last week

I checked my user stats on last.fm and I have only 6 spins. I dont remember even hearing them. I'll have to give this a listen. I hope they dont sound like satanic warmaster. Cant get into 200 bpm on every song.

Im guessing the trve kvltness has been slightly undervalued over the yrs. Which is to be expected.
