Is the Lighthouse film any good
I get that it received a lot of critic acclaim, but so did Oppenheimer, which was boring and just had a lot of things wrong with it, like the annoying as hell persistent background music/whatever you want to call it in every scene. Is this movie LIghthouse actually any good or is the critical acclaim misattributed?

Robert Eggers doesn't exactly make films for casuals. Do you enjoy slow-burn dread, ambiguity, a strong focus on atmosphere over conventional storytelling, and stylistic flourishes that recall films of Andrei Tarkovsky and David Lynch? You might like it then.

I don't like David Lynch's movies at all, and if this is anything like that, I think I'm going to skip this one.

David Lynch is great
But The Lighthouse isn't anything like a Lynch movie. I'm not sure what it was
Maybe it is a dark fairy tale. I think you should just watch it, it is interesting enough. And tell us what you think of it

It was pretty Lynchian in places, espeically towards the end.
