i was just thinking the other day about jimmy page and all the other great classic rock bands. how the hell were they all such good musicians and song writers right out the gate at such a young age.

also this might be zeppelins coolest song :bang:

That's a good'un song. Zeppelin are so hit or miss with me, but when they are on they are on

Not only young, but a lot of these classic rock bands were putting out two albums a year, or every other year, spontaneity made into albums people still listen to and talk about 50+ years later :idea:

it really blows my mind, bands like led zeppelin and black sabbath had amazing songs on their first albums barely into their 20s

though some bands like pink floyd took a long time to start putting out really good albums

2 things:

1.music still very much had a soul back then and they were heavily influenced by the original rockers, blues, and jazz musicians, among others. And remember that even performing live was kind of a novelty back then, so there wasn't a ton of gimmicks or stage persona to be had (at first) - the music was everything.

2. drugs.
