Re: Blood Incantation - The Stargate
I heard the first 8 minute 'Tablet' they released of the three, and it blew me away. Going to wait for the album to listen more! I'm psyched.

Good stuff! New Ingurgitating Oblivion just came out and blows this away.

Re: Blood Incantation - The Stargate
The full album's out, and I've been jamming it the whole day. Tremendous in every sense. It's like Morbid Angel and Gorguts meet King Crimson, with David Gilmour guesting.

Re: Blood Incantation - The Stargate
So, I've now heard the album several times, and it's magnificent, to say the least. Sitting at the top of my AOTY. A real big step for the band.
Just how good is this?

New Mitochondrion snorts the ground up bone dust of this BI record and fucks all the bitches. Giving Cutting the Throat of God solid competition for AOTY.

This also rapes the corpse of absolute elsewhere.

I heard two tracks, and it really doesn't. Absolute Everywhere is far more listenable and enjoyable music, IMO.
Also, didn't know there was some competition going on.

Re: Blood Incantation - The Stargate
yeah it is more ambient background stuff for me, this album, it's not a metal masterpiece
i mean i like these guys and they have similar vibes to me around 2004-2010 when i basically only listened to 70s prog and extreme metal, but something about the combination of the styles doesn't quite work for me on a FUCK YEAH! level, it's more like a AH, COOL, HAHA, THESE GUYS level

Re: Blood Incantation - The Stargate
i do think starspawn is better even though in their interviews they are like "we couldn't play music when we made starspawn we were so shit lols now this album is exactly what we tried to do back then but we were too shit lol"
