have you ever caught your girlfriend/fiancé/wife cheating?
If so, how’s you find out and what were the repercussions?
And yes my fiancé was fucking around on me for a while. Not sure how long but yeah. She lost a ton of weight. Got into beauty bs everyday and has a “sugar daddy” and a boyfriend that lives in Wisconsin she’s been banging at hotels for who knows how long. Wish I was joking. This isn’t new but she is finally moving out next week only after the sugar daddy paid 6 months rent upfront and deposit for her. The biggest thing for me is she’s taking both cats and that tears me the fuck up. They are like my children. The one cat has been with me since the beginning. She’s not even talking to me anymore as I’m useless to her as I don’t have any money. She’s a fucking gold digger thru and thru. Also going to Brazil in March with the hotel dude. Also, the entire time she still denies she was cheating and claims my accusations are the reason she broke off the engagement. A psychotic narcissist thru and thru.
I have to downgrade and transfer back into a one bedroom in the same building because this 2 bedroom lease isn’t up until 8/31 so I’m stuck. Been in this building 7 years next month. First a one bed, then a 2 with her, now a one again. I feel absolutely defeated and worthless but at least I dodged a huge bullet ansddidn’t get a house or marry her yet. Y’all know my fucking luck so this is all par for the course. Good times.

Holy crap, dude. This is awful news and I'm terribly sorry you're having to go through it. How long were you guys together? Stay strong, this is gonna be a huge emotional deal.
I had my suspicions I had an ex who was cheating on me, but never had any concrete proof.

Re: have you ever caught your girlfriend/fiancé/wife cheating?
Since March 2021, nearly 3 years. I suspect she’s been fucking around for at least or close to 7-8 months at this point. After the money I had from my mom’s estate was gone. She came here with the cat for a date and literally never left. I know I need my head examined. Also her mother and two of her kids disowned her because she tried committing suicide shortly before coming here. At least that what she told me. Who the fuck knows. All I know is I was just a pawn until she could find a hard-on bearer(s) with more money looking to spoil her. She’s such a rotten person. I’ve been fucked up mentally for a while at this point. Just need her gone so I can start to heal. Going back to being alone (which I loved before) now terrifies the shit out of me.

Just know it was nothing you did. Manipulators gonna manipulate. You're certainly not the first, and definitely not the last hard-on bearer she's done this to. Sorry this happened, you don't deserve it.

Wow she is an absolutely vile person and I am sorry you had to deal with that kind of betrayal. Definitely a manipulator and sounds like with the suicide stunt(?) saying you dodged a bullet is an understatement. That lind of manipulative behavior is beyond disgusting.

Re: have you ever caught your girlfriend/fiancé/wife cheating?
Nah. I'm not going default to bashing your gir.l like all the lemmings here just because you're coming here with a sob story. A breakdown in a relationship is never a simple thing, unless in the rare scenario it really is.
Practically anybody who ever gets dumped goes somewhere to vent, and inevitably all your friends will join the train and side with you, of course, since they know you. They don't know your gir.l. They will never know any version of the story except yours.
Start by self reflecting and accepting your own faults and your position. If you are right and she really is seeing someone fine, move on and work to improve your position to find a better partner. Don't act like the George Clooney character who has to be told by the Tuckman Marsh wimp, "grow up, it happens to everybody" in Burn After Reading.
But if you are wrong about her, what you are doing is maligning someone's reputation based on suspicions, in that case, you're the one that ought to go to hell.
So, calm down, get back up in a dignified way instead of the mudslinging, improve yourself and find someone else who likes you.

I know what you are doing but there is a time and a place for it imran
Sometimes letting someone vent and supporting them is the healthiest first step.
Ending a long term relationship is a grieving process and if someone isnt ready to self reflect you cant make them especially on a tiny forum like this.

No, this is exactly the time and place to do it. It's you all who need to stop goading him and reinforcing his assessment. You owe it to him to give him an objective and constructive view.

Re: have you ever caught your girlfriend/fiancé/wife cheating?
well, i would just ignore imran to say that, you're in a good position. this is a good news story. if you were being cheated on still, and being manipulated and lied to, then it would be a tragic story. the truth often hurts but it's always best out in the open. sounds like you made some stupid decisions but you certainly didn't deserve what happened.
i'll now reverse my statement about ignoring imran and ask you to provide more juicy details so we can get more insight into how fucked up your partner is
how did you catch them cheating? did you meet the other hard-on bearer?

IF I’m right and I know she’s seeing someone else??? If I’m wrong about her? You can’t be fucking serious. I’m mentally more fucked than I’ve ever been due to her lies, manipulations, and games. Again, her mom, kids, and two sisters no longer speak to her. Her ex husband won’t let her even call and talk to her kids over the phone. But you’re right, it’s obviously me who’s the problem. Am I perfect? Fuck no. But I sure as shit haven’t done anything to her to deserve to be cheated on. I’ve supported her and all she set out to do at every turn. Tell you what, I’ll pm you her number. You two would get along swimmingly. Why don’t you tell us more about your failed marriage.Grudge wrote: ↑25 Jan 2024, 05:44Nah. I’ve already asked my work for a review/wage discussion and plan on going to the shelter in 2 weeks to get another cat. I am actively trying to improve myself and situation. I watched my mother, the most important person in my life, suffocate and choke on her own blood and die in front of me, and I’m still living my life, so yes I know I’ll get over her. God forbid I vent to people I’ve known over 20 years.

Re: have you ever caught your girlfriend/fiancé/wife cheating?
The story of my marriage is really simple. We were married for 7 years, we would fight incessantly and to severe degrees. This is why I never had a kid, I could not bring a child into that kind of environment.
It came down to differences in personality. I felt there was no love, and I also think she chose her friends over me in terms of who to prioritize in life. In the end, I filed for divorce.
Exactly like you, my ex-wife goes to her friends, and tells them how terrible a person I am. And just like you're seeing here with almost everyone, they all back her up and tell her how fortunate she is that she has been able to get away from me, and egg her on, all that crap. None of them will ever know the way she actually behaved and made me suffer. But you know what, I don't get into all that when I talk to my friends. I don't paint her as the devil. Because that's cheap and unfair, because she's not there to defend her reputation and even if she tries to ruin mine by mudslinging, I'm not going to do that to her.
As I get back on the circuit for new partners and matrimonials, I run into this thing all the time. Virtually every divorced woman I've talked to so far has always painted her ex spouse as the devil and sole cause of the breakdown in marriage. Some of them say the ex-husband was a nut with mental issues, some say they used them, blah blah blah. Always painting themselves as the victim. It's cheap and easy, and that means they never have to confront the tough job of self improvement, because that's too difficult and uncomfortable.
You're looking at downgrading your apartment? Fuck you, I was looking at selling the house, I failed because nobody's buying. And right now I'm stuck with mortgages and payments to the ex that I can scarcely afford without a huge raise. But I deal with my problems like a man.
You need to stop going around maligning this gi.rl's reputation based on your suspicions. Don't do it.

Nothing much to report. No contact with her anymore. Good riddance. I am stuck with an invoice for $735 worth of damage to the walls and busted toilet tank she caused in the other apartment. Sent her the invoice and was just left on read with no reply like I knew would happen. I didn’t get an annual raise but they did double my monthly commission percentage from .5% to 1% so that helps quite a bit. More a month than if they gave me a salary based raise.

Re: have you ever caught your girlfriend/fiancé/wife cheating?
It was all from lots of shelving and various things she had hung with command strips in her bedroom. Like an abnormal amount. Her bathroom she had like 15 shelves all over and in the shower. She mounted a 75in tv her bedroom that left a huge hole/damage. The damages were marked “Panting” on the invoice for $525. $150 for the tank toilet.

Re: have you ever caught your girlfriend/fiancé/wife cheating?
Let me rephrase, they weren’t just holes but chunks of the wall taken out past the paint into the sheetrock. If they were just smaller holes I would have done that. Not to mention we are told in the lease not to repair damages ourselves. They would still repair and charge. My dad is a professional painter/drywaller and I tried getting him to come to town to fix them all and offered to pay him and buy food but he wouldn’t as he said it was a full days job. He’s super lazy and has only visited me once in 16 years even though he’s only 90 miles away. I also spent multi hours over many days cleaning the entire apartment and still got charged a $250 cleaning fee. The entire experience was a shitshow. So I’m stuck with paying a monthly fee until the bill is paid off.
