Re: Upcoming Concerts (New Edition)
Cannibal Corpse / Mayhem / Gorguts / Blood Incantation a few days ago, god damn. All I can say for sure is that every single time I’ve seen cannibal corpse they always bring out excellent openers and highly energetic crowds. People went absolutely ballistic during Mayhems set, a stark contrast compared to when I saw them last year. Also, somebody once again threw a target gift card up on stage for Corpsegrinder, which he very kindly thanked them for

Really want his book. He had some really cool things to say about how that came together in one of his podcasts.Methuselah Honeysuckle wrote: ↑13 May 2023, 01:10Besides Lee constantly getting fucked with, the ones that stick out for me were Owen Benjamin and Sarah Tiana.

Re: Upcoming Concerts (New Edition)
Saw a Type O Negative tribute band from Belgium called October Rust last week on a small local festival. Drove an hour into Belgium yesterday to see them again for a 2 x 50 minutes set. This band is fucking amazing... singer actually sounds like Peter and has a great charisma. The band really nails their songs, from all the keyboard parts to the solo's, etc. What a beautiful tribute to Type O. So many old fans in the crowd singing every line with them. Fucking awesome.

Saw Ne Obliviscaris and Beyond Creation last night, was fucking epic. Honestly both of these bands should be a lot bigger than they are.

both bands are very different from what they were in the early/mid 2000's but I've still enjoyed seeing both in more recent years.

international gigs in bangkok are always a good time regardless, with weed shops on every street corner and cheap beer, the only question is if my mate wants to go, cos i have to fly an hour down to see the shows and i can't be fucked taking a whole weekend and doing that if it's just me

Debating if I want to go see Dying Fetus tomorrow.
They are playing with The Acacia Strain, Despised Icon, Creeping Death and Tactosa
Seen Creeping Death before and they were cool. Despised Icon are alright I guess but don’t give a fuck about the other bands.

I did end up seeing Dying Betus a few weeks ago, show was fucking killer - surprisingly huge turn out (they drew cannibal corpse numbers). The opening bands were pretty fucking good too - really enjoyed Despised Icon.
Going to see Cattle Decapitation and Immolation tonight.

Re: Upcoming Concerts (New Edition)
got tickets to see a performance of messiaen's quartet for the end of time at the BSO on 3/31
mildly tempted to hit up BG but it's like a day or two before i see swans so that will probably be a gametime decision. didn't really get into the new one so that kinda dampens my enthusiasm, but they've always put on a great show every time i've seen them

:::::::;::::::;;: place was packed and full of energy - it’s rare that you see the pit go hard for the entire show. Non-stop moshing and crowd surfing the entire show - some crazy mofo even jumped from the balcony and someone else threw a trash can into the audience that got tossed around like a beach ball. I also drank was too much fucking beer and did something I’ve never done before - got myself up on stage and dove into the crowd to crowd surf! Shit was fun, yo.

swans were fucking incredible, brought a fellating lover who isn't really huge into them and i was pretty nervous it wouldn't be the best time for them, but thankfully that wasn't the case
~2.5 hour set, the first song was an 80 minute(!) arrangement of the beggar, and the final climax was one of the most moving experiences i've ever had at a concert
