Solitary birds that chill by the creek or riverside, and hunt minnows, frogs, snakes, or anything they can find to eat. They never let you get close to them, they take off and glide from tree to tree when you do, but they are fun to watch

I love snowy owls and barn owls but hummingbirds are my fave bevause they remind me of my granny.

i actually devised an ambush maneuver for use in social situations a couple years ago where i demand to know someone's top five birds, it is a lot of fun and really throws people off guard. my brother actually uses it in job interviews. so far we have a lot of good answers. during the original session where this all came together, i also declared the bald eagle to be a bullshit choice (which was unfortunately met with some resistance)
