Re: Kiss played their last show yesterday
for real. these fucks have been doing farewell tours for literally decades now. and gene is sufficiently shameless that when the rest of the guys start dying off, he'll happily replace them with some bullshit AI holograms or something, just to keep the machine running for another cycle

Re: Kiss played their last show yesterday
the absolute least surprising development in the entirety of history. the universe has labored since the moment of its inception, clanking along for billions of years to produce human civilization. every single endeavor of mankind, all of the mindless slaughter and exploitation and misery wrought on each other, every technological advancement, each and every action of every person to ever live, all guiding society to a single inexorable culmination: the eternal KISS farewell tour, performed by nobody, to an audience that can only be described as human in the loosest possible sense of the word.

I still say whenever a famous musician dies Keith Richards experiences a mild form of the quickening. That or he's just been dead for decades and no one bothered to tell him.

by gene's own reckoning they have transcended time itself. immortal and eternal! no longer bound by the shackles of earthly form, KISS™ will be the sole emanation of divine potentiality given form which will succeed the universe as we know it, and populate the next. as consciousness reconstitutes itself, the scholars and mages to come will unravel the mysteries of the occult sciences. when the seals are once again unbound, they will receive the infinite wisdom of the ages: god gave rock and roll to youMethuselah Honeysuckle wrote: ↑04 Dec 2023, 02:32So kiss will outlast Keith Richards.jawn galliano wrote: ↑03 Dec 2023, 22:07the absolute least surprising development in the entirety of history. the universe has labored since the moment of its inception, clanking along for billions of years to produce human civilization. every single endeavor of mankind, all of the mindless slaughter and exploitation and misery wrought on each other, every technological advancement, each and every action of every person to ever live, all guiding society to a single inexorable culmination: the eternal KISS farewell tour, performed by nobody, to an audience that can only be described as human in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Re: Kiss played their last show yesterday
Kiss (often styled as KISS) was an American rock band formed in New York City in 1973 by Paul Stanley (vocals, rhythm guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals, bass guitar), Ace Frehley (lead guitar, vocals), and Peter Criss (drums, vocals). Known for their face paint and stage outfits, the group rose to prominence in the mid-1970s with shock rock-style live performances which featured fire-breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits, and pyrotechnics. The band had gone through several lineup changes, with Stanley and Simmons remaining the only consistent members. The final lineup consisted of them, Tommy Thayer (lead guitar, vocals), and Eric Singer (drums, vocals).
