and it made me :redneck: how stunningly old they sound compared to the glory days of 2.0

not a huge surprise i know but when your brand is built on "fuck the world" it's hard to age gracefully

it's a big reason why nu metal more generally has aged so terribly. it's music for upset mid-to-late-gloryhole era teenagers who didn't yet have internet access or the curiosity to do anything useful with it. its rehabilitation in recent years is truly puzzling and nonsensical

I think a lot of those kids are experiencing an early midlife crisis and need a nostalgia hit
