I know I said I wouldn't play this for a while, but I decided to buy it afterall, so I can pass some time. It's installing. Let's see what the hype is.

good mate, i only get to play once a week cos i am on a multiplayer with two friends, one in seattle and one in australia, we're maybe 40 hours in i think and level 6

some great party dynamics and amusing characters. i am a barbarian outlander as i said, basically a nature warrior, but then in one of the first dialogues with an NPC i said i was from the city, so the running joke is that i am actually a wannabe SUV camper dude from the suburbs

also i have a big sword

I reached the underdark with a lvl 6 warlock but I got bored of it.

Started a new game with a dark urge monk going for way of the open hand + tavern brawler feat (STR). Man, that thing is killing anything that moves.

it is a fucking easy game, ridiculous really, a bit of a joke. the constant respecs, including of all the NPCs, all those inspirations and reactions, quicksaves and quickloads, no real punishing dynamics at all

but i would say it is more challenging doing it the way i am doing it with a 3 player multiplayer party, cos we all have our own needs and desires and do not necessarily operate as a united team which leads to some more "user-generated" difficult situations

I spent most of my time pickpocketing all the merchants that i can using astarion. By the time i left the tiefling camp/druid grove, i had 15k gold and all the good gear that they sell is in my stash. Of course, this is before i proceeded to massacre all the tieflings, druids, and goblins in act 1.

i guess you mean the vampire hard-on bearer, we didn't like him, thrust him to fuck off at the beginning, and told van helsing where to find him, so never seen any of his dialogue or anything

I don’t like the gay vampire as well but he’s the only rogue i have and he’s quite useful so i kept him. Gale is the one that literally just stays in camp and doesn’t get used.

I never bothered much with the sexuality of the characters but astarion did try to suggest to bump uglies with my male character so yeah he's definitely gay. :ba:

Shadowheart, of course, is the only acceptable romance option for my character.

Oh of course i wouldn’t be surprised if that were the case. We are all diverse and inclusive. :gay:

Gale stays in camp because he now has an exclamation mark on his head and he needs to consume my magic items.

I'm at Level 10, towards the end of Act 2. I'm doing a good play through but the next one I do will be a super optimized team of evil bastards.

cos i only get about eight hours a week with my mates i don't think we'll get to level ten for like four weeks at least

today we got four hours in but did not level up at all :santa:

highlight for me was my character murdering eight cats solo and then murdering eight eagles solo

i am a nature warrior but i understand the food chain :benton:

Now that I've gotten a chance to explore Act 3 in this game, I've decided to stop playing this game and I'm not going to finish it. The reason is that the last act feels bloated as hell. After some searching online for why, sure enough, it turned out the developer cut a gazillion things from the game just to launch it on time, so there's a lot of stuff in Act 3 that definitely feels tacked on without cohesion. Until some releases come around later that fix that, whether that's a director's cut or additional DLC, I'm not going to return to this game.

Here's a list of the cut content. Just an example of some of this shit. You can see there is a slot for belts on your inventory screen, but there are no belts in this game. There are things that look like they could be used in crafting like ingots, which I made a point never to sell thinking they would be put to use, but nope, they are just for selling.

yah i could tell the ingots were not used for anything, one of my party members is still keeping them though :redneck:

i can't see the embedded content in your post but i'm sure it's scandalous

i will let you know my impressions of act 3 when i get there in like two months

The developer put out an update yesterday acknowledging the cut content and stated an intent to do something about it. So I'll wait until that shit gets added in. Because this game by act 3 took a nose dive.
