Not at first - at some point my dad who worked in construction got a promotion and used his work connections to get an in-ground one put in the back yard. Lots of fun and memories from back then. Funny enough I have zero interest in having a pool as an adult though.

one of the houses my dad rented had a swimming pool maybe around 1991-1992 but that's it

i used the local swimming pool a lot around 1990-1995 but preferred the beach from then on
