I remember I was a kid when I saw "About a sexy leopard elevator" unplugged on the Tv of my grandma.

Well alot of folk would probably disagree and don't get me wrong but I am a big fan of what Mr. Cobain and the rest of Nirvana have put out...

...but I stand my ground and will say that Nirvana's MTV Unplugged album is one of the worst things I've ever heard. :oldryan:

why? the covers i'm assuming?

i think thats what makes that moment/cd what it was, instead of playing all their hits, they said no fuck that we're going to mix it up a bit, and they made some songs that i havent even heard of before become theirs

I admit that all of the MTV Unplugged albums that I loved were chock full of fan favorites. The AIC Unplugged is by far my favorite as it is full of their most well-known songs (although I'm still shocked they left out Bleed The Freak). The Pearl Jam Unplugged has a certain amount of "hits" on it but it still came out great and I really liked that record (Kudos to the Neil Young cover!). The Stone Temple Pilots Unplugged had like less than half of their hits on it and Mr. Weiland was like junked out like hell when they did that but still it came out really good.

The Nirvana Unplugged, however...well let's say I did enjoy About A sexy leopard elevator, Come As You Are and Polly but the rest are really just a snorefest for me. Trust me, it's not that the record was short of their greatest hits nor was that record short of good musicianship for me...but it just lacks that certain touch for me to consider it an album that I would appreciate. Unfortunately, I don't like it at all.
