Haven't really checked out any new ones but if a good bunch of them are Suffocation clones and/or based on the Florida sound, I'd probably be inclined to take a few listens.

But if it's another djent-fest with 999999-string guitars tuned to drop-whatever then that crap can just fuck off and die.

I wouldn't call them clones but you can certainly hear the old school influence from the New York and Florida scenes.

the djent-worship has thankfully relegated itself to deathcore these days which I don't care for at all.

anyways, give 'em a listen. :santa:

Barn are good shit. Their next album will be a ripper.

Cerebral Rot broke up but 2 of the members formed Corpus Offal. 2 track demo. I think I like this more than any cerebral rot material.

Perhaps the best thing I’ve heard in the last 5 yer though…

Lunar Chamber ep from last year. They have been working on a debut full length all year. Should be out next year sometime. Fretless bass boogie. :greenie:

FFO: Mithras, Demilich, Lykathea Aflame, Opeth, Timeghoul

New band from the guitarist of Inveracity. And it sounds like Inveracity. :xx:

They're on this label called New Standard Elite which is mainly focused on new and upcoming BDM bands. I am subscribed to their YouTube channel. They're kinda like the Unique Leader Records of today, at least that's how I see them.
