I cant wait for this record. The last record was decent. I hope this one slays!
they've been playing some of these new songs live, i've heard from people that they sound way more like their old shit than the last two records, so I am looking forward to this.
maybe I'm a perfectionist, but how the fuck could anyone be satisfied with themselves after making that?
small development team of equally untalented people, who all have a complete and utter lack of ability to criticize themselves, and continually reassure one another that what they're doing is pretty sweet.
even that tiny insignificant image without any additional context just screams poor taste. it would have at least been visually balanced and created a better impression on composition alone, had they not gone and plastered a bunch of useless text (complete with gaudy photoshop filtering) into the negative space.
it's really frustrating because now i'm always going to associate this amateurish garbage with a band that has produced some truly amazing albums
even the cover art kind of irks me. there's something fundamentally offensive about a bunch of shadowy dudes at an altar emblazoned with a suffocation logo, showered in light. it would serve a purpose if the standard logo weren't already there, but it is. seems very self-aggrandizing.

I don't mind the theme, it's way cooler than most death metal album covers. There is something a bit off though, and I can't quite put my finger on it. I think it would look better if the band logo and album title were transparent instead of bold white. Additionally, something seems amiss with the placement of the logo, but that's just me. The nature of the painting makes everything else difficult to frame. The lettering is too large and too bold for the space it's in.
Need a new signature? Why not Zoidberg? (V) (;,,;) (V)
