totally different culture up her, and overall people are a lot friendlier. Also not nearly as many plague rats up here, which is nice.

This storm kicked my ass. I still live in Uptown at a place without a parking lot and it took forever to find a parking spot/wait for the snow emergency streets to get cleared in order to get off the even side of the street. So I stayed up all night, which didn't used to be a problem because I used to work those hours. Not the case anymore.

I love the snow, but dealing with all that while having a sprained ankle was not fun. But yes the black metal listening season has definitely arrived :grimsanta:

do people park in business parking lots when that kind of stuff happens or will you get towed there too? I bet the parking garages probably fill up quick?

Maybe, but I only live around small businesses that don't have lots. No parking garages nearby either. I thought about just dropping off my car to get my oil changed since I'll have to do it soon anyway and parking over night there since it's only a two minute walk away. But luckily they finally got around to fully plowing and I got a spot. Tons of people didn't move their cars (which I've actually never seen happen) and I'm guessing there is also a plow driver shortage for obvious reasons so it took longer than usual. Car stuff in the Twin Cities has been a problem lately for a number of reasons. Hopefully that gets resolved soon.
