Does Steve Tucker = Sammie Haggar???
I don't know if I'm the only one here, but I tend to view the MA albums with Tucker in the same light as Van Halen with Sammie Haggar. Now I know Van Halen isn't death metal, so don't get the goofy straps and chains on your hot topic pants in a bunch, but the symbolism I think is perfect for what I'm trying to convey. Which is: That the hardcore VH fans always viewed the post-Roth era as inferior (which I do agree), and likewise feel that the post-Vincent era is inferior.
As I have noticed that many here love FFF, and tend to look down on D, am I alone here????

No one is looking down on D. But from what I know, the REAL diehard MA fans are not ignorant bastards. The greatness of FFttF/rest of the Steve Tucker-albums is often denied by all these "trve"-gay-"fans". It's one thing if you dislike the vocals, but i don't understand those who dislike the music. The feeling is still there, Trey Azagthoth´s sick composition is still there. Personally, I rather see a Steve Tucker filled with eneregy and power, than a sloopy David Vincent without motivation. To me David lost some brutality / attitude with Domination. It's still a very great album though, I love it.

Domination and FFF almost sound like two different bands. Steve brought a whole new level of (brutality
) to the band if you ask me. It's completely different than Domination and I don't have any reason to look down on it because there are different vocals. I like Steve and David both on the albums but I prefer Steve live.

In some ways I understand what you are saying but overall, I don't look down on any album. May be around the Heretic era, may be something cosmically shifted. Perhaps. May be it was time for a renewal. I don't know. There are still some killer tracks on there. May be it's something I can't even put my finger on but any way, it still lends itself as an MA experience listening to it. In my heart of hearts, I probally would say the early Vincent days had the most dark and vibey atmosphere and somethign was happening; one could feel it. Formulas is an awesome record. Steve did a great job live; great energy. I'd go as far as to say may be that energy is missing these days. But again, may be it's just me. Regarding Domination: in my opinion, I think Vincent had actually hit a new kind of "evil". May be in a less metaphysical way and more in a metaphorical and philosophical way in the lyrical and conceptual appraoch. Perhaps that turned off more of the younger metal crowd because they tend not to lean towards that stuff. Overall, every album contributes to a vibe, every front man did their thing to the max at go-time.

There is not a single MA release that should ever be looked down upon.

nobody looks down to David's work or to Steve's work here (as far as I know, and otherwise I couldn't give a damn either).
And no offence to Fenriz but get his interview the hell out of a Steve Tucker related thread
