"The album has been made according to my heart and spirit, and not to fit into any particular genre or category, or to live up to anyone's obvious expectations". The music can best be compared to the music of some of the old Burzum albums; in particular the ground breaking "Hvis Lyset Tar Oss" and the atmospheric brilliances of "Filosofem", only the ambient parts present on these albums has been almost completely left out on "Belus". "There is no special reason for this, other than coincidence and the fact that I have for some time made more and better music on the guitar rather than on the keyboard".
hmmmmm, another come back album. but i can't wait for this!

anus reviews in general are bad, not because their opinions are wrong necessarily (actually these fellas are usually spot-on in this regard), but their reviewers are just terrible writers
still though, i'm pretty sure they'll deliver a glowing assessment masked behind a lot of shitty and confusing noncommittal words

Re: Burzum.
Not sure if this dude is taking the piss or not:
I had the privilege of hearing the entire album on Saturday.
It's brilliant. Completely and utterly Burzum. Has more in common with Hvis... than anything else (although there are elements from both Det Som and Filosofem) and the production is immense. The intro involves some metallic clanging similar to the parts on Filosofem, but it is very short, and then the lesson in real black metal begins...
If people thought the Beherit comeback was good........
EDIT: I should have said has more in common with Hvis... and Jesus' Tod from Filosofem.

I think I might actually leave it until I have the full album.
It's about a month until its release. WHy hasn't it leaked yet?
