i used that wonky ass australian extract i told you about
 
instead of straight cane sugar as an additive, i used a mix of cane sugar, brown sugar, and molasses
 
the package of yeast was big enough for a ten-gallon mix, so i used too much yeast
 
i didn't stir quite well enough; i need to get a long-handled spoon dedicated to this purpose
 
the gasket came off of the airlock and fell into the wort, which i did not realize for a couple of days. i fished it out during bottling
 
two of the bottles i ordered broke during shipping, and, rather than sending me two free bottles to replace them, the company sent another dozen
 
i need a hydrometer
