By adding 200 more you could get a decent neck-thru from Ebay.
ive never really liked les pauls, theyve always felt weird to play.

though ive yet to try out an ibanez les paul shaped guitar, so it may be different.
I was never a big fan of it either, but the guitarist I work with now at the studio has a Gibson LP, I've been playing it a little and I must say that it plays absolutely wonderful! It's a Studio series and I've heard that those don't sound good most of the time, but this one does, it has amazing tone and great sustain... the Ibanez LP's must be great too from what I've heard. I'd really like to try one.

Only shitty thing of buying one from ebay is that I don't know how it sounds and how much it weighs. Could be light as a feather and then you have 0% sustain or tone.

I think that's a bit overpriced for a used import guitar(especially if its post-Fender buyout) with a cheap licensed Floyd, even with a case. Get an old Japanese-made Jackson if you can find one in good condition(or a Charvel, if you dig them).

I bought my neckthru Charvel with a Schaller Floyd and case for around 400$, and that included shipping from California all the way to Africa practically. :ryan:

Yeah, they definitely are. I can barely play anything else.
hmm, this may be better

<!-- m -->http://raleigh.craigslist.org/msg/1498298421.html<!-- m -->

a charvel strat would be awesome, but theyre stupid hard to find :oldryan:
There are a few on ebay right now, but most have lame paintjobs save for this one(but its a neckthru): <!-- m -->http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-1987-CHARVE ... 3ca855fd8f<!-- m -->

Search for the keywords "Charvel Model". Model 4's are the highest end Japanese Charvels that are bolt on, 5 and up are neckthrus, except for 7 which is a Tele-style guitar.

Found a model 4: <!-- m -->http://cgi.ebay.com/1986-Charvel-Jackso ... 23045392c6<!-- m -->

I thought they had 24 frets. :huh:

Ibanez RG550 = best guitar I've ever played, and its a bolt-on. :bulb:

Out of the new ones I like the So-Cal a lot.

I've seen a white one with black guard, floyd and two HB.

And they are not that expensive.

The new ones are nice, but there's no "cool factor" like with vintage Charvels. :redneck:

I played a RG2550 prestige once, it was nice, but I don't like the finishes on them. I'd like to own a white RG550 someday. :xx:
