No i wouldnt say he is the best composer because there have been many other good composers but he is one of the best ever and overall Queen is the best band ever because of the combination of amazing songwriting skills and super singer and frontman, their ability to write songs in almost all genres and the level of musicianship and amazing singing ability and voice makes them the best band ever.

actually better than them but that is because of the COMBINATION of things he were, a very good composer, EXTREMELY good singer with a SUPER HUMAN voice and ALSO the best frontman of all time. Beethoven etc wrote more complex songs but overall they cant beat freddie because of the combination. Freddie is the god of music because of that combination.

Muhammed

Chuck

Trey(up til heretic)

Chris from beneath the massacre

Max cavalera(early sepultura days)

Old Metallica(whoever in the band wrote those songs)

Luc lemay

Nergal(but started losing it after zos kia cultus)

Slayer(the early albums)

Luciferion( 2 brilliant DM albums)

those are that comes to my mind right now in Metal.

well the majority of the riffs are very boring and generic, the production is AWEFUL, ironically i think petes instrumentals are the best songs on the album together with 1 other song, curse the flesh, overall MA's worst album by far and unfortunatly the new song nevermore sounds like it could have been on heretic. It is understandable though, the hard-on bearer has written awesome album after album, someday you run out of ideas and sometimes you rush things and it comes out bad.
