As much as he pretty much became THE marketing tool in the past five years as well as how much his guitars look awful to me, he still is a legend and has crafted some of the most memorable riffs I've ever heard.

I remember when it happened...there was so much confusion, news reports changing and such, the first i heard was dime & vinny died, then vinny, then dime, then both, then vinny and whoever, ect...

it sucked...I was pretty bummed that Kiss didn't say anything about him tonight.

Was never a huge fan of Pantera but I liked them a lot, and dimebag was always a bad ass. He was a great guitar player, had some really evil sounding leads (a la primal concrete sledge)

But I didn't know for a long time that he died, I didn't even know how he died when I found out. But really, what a fucking shame that was.

But what made me sick was how marketed his name was after death
