It wasn't too long, but it was some unforgiving terrain. From the trailhead we started at, it was 1.3 miles. There are a few trails up there, one of which is named "Profanity" (because it's easy to accidentally go down that way rather than the main trail, then find yourself on the wrong side of the mountain). I think there are two trails which go ground-to-peak, Profanity and The Subway. Our professor is due in a few months, so we did not do those

The Long Trail section we were on is subalpine and alpine biome with tundra surviving from the ice ages.

It's all rock, crevice, ledge, and wind.

i thought it was well established knowledge around here that i am going le bald

I hadn't buzzed my head in about a week so i was wearing the beanie. plus oil burns to the dome can be painful while cooking since i have not nearly enough hair to catch the hot oil
