Empty pick-up cavities

Post by Mr. P »

Do you know where I could buy a black plate to cover the empty pick-up hole after I have removed it?

It's set to the UK page at the moment, but you can click your flag in the top right to fix that

Nope, didn't find what I was looking for. And I think I didn't quite make myself clear on this one.

I want to change the outlook of my guitar so that it would like it has one pick-up. So take the neck pick-up off and put a small plate on it.

I guess you have to make one yourself. They sell pickguard material for this purpose. The pickguard of my 7string V was custom made from this stuff.

I don't know where you are from, But if you are from the US; Stewmac also sells this material. It comes in a lot of different colours.

There are plenty of companies which make aftermarket pickguards, but they are very expensive. Up to 90 usd a guard.

If it was me I'd put an action figure in the hole and put clear perspex over it.
