good words by fry, but ughhh, i feel really bad for the black bishop. his nerves are clearly rattled. i'm going through the same thing with my deeply religious and intelligent grandma, whom i'm very close with. i've never actually been honest with her about my views on religion, and i don't think i ever will.



*edit* i actually stopped listening to part three because the bishop was so humiliated. and its tough, because the bishop is clearly a good man with good views who approached this seminar with positive things to say. then fry stepped up and fried him. sometimes i feel like it does more harm than good to risk tearing down the foundation of a man's life by stating your precious little truth. i am very conflicted about this. "and some say there is no difference between democrats and republicans."

debating religion on an intellectual level is pointless. Religion is just an emotional trauma inflicted on the young; they can't respond to reason any more than a soldier having a PTSD episode can.
