well it is still just a theory. and if we all evolved from stardust, why aren't we all cats?
you're thinking, thats good, but the ideas you're proposing are just intro to philosophy thought experiments...which is good too. but i hope you're not too set on them being "right" or "good points" because if so, you qualify as delusional.
no offense...just realize that you might be talking out of your ass. its okay, everyone does it.[/quote]
I don't believe we know the truth, so all of this is hypothetical.

Well evolution makes sense. The creation of the universe we cannot be certain of.

right, so are our skeptical thumps and pseudo-theories. i advise you to realize that about yourself, so when you're shot down, you don't get down on yourself, and instead incorporate the criticism into you're knowledge. its one of the great things about science. we're all on the same playing field. it isn't a competition of ideas. its a massive teamwork.

Since we're talking about evolution (sort of) I think it's so awesome how we see these wolf like creature skeletons with the hip joints and everything around then around similar areas we see whale bones with hip joints. This shows what we think, is proof that whales evolved from the land to sea. I remember finding that really interesting but I'm forgetting details from my zoology course.

oh yah its totally cool, and i'll extend the same notion to mythology. i remember abzu posting something from <!-- w -->www.physorg.com<!-- w --> about how a black hole functions like a heart, and how we see dicks on trees and stuff.
and of course our domesticated pets showing signs of intelligence, and genius elephant artists.

Evolution ≠ making animals stronger, bigger, etc, unless their environment specifically favors individuals with those traits and those that don't have them don't manage to mate as much and go extinct, there is no objectively "better" quality other than what the environment requires. There are birds that have vestigial wings, they can't fly but they have no need to do so.
And big bang cosmology is actually understood with precise detail as far back into the first few seconds, as evidenced by the cosmic microwave background, which is a relatively recent finding. The redshift expansion of galaxies has been known for about a century now as well.

The hip bones of modern whales don't serve a purpose, the ancient whales are thought to not either. They're vestigial. The mammalian creatures went to the water so much they eventually evolved into whales over a long period of time is the theory minus all details because I don't remember them.

What about smarter, stronger beings? Do animals evolve and get weaker because the environment says so? No. They can become better suited to what environment they are in now, but they certainly do not evolve down.
Evolution is the process of evolving, not devolving. The fact that lower species are still around that we supposedly came from is a huge hole in this. If Apes evolved into Humans (Africans I suppose), why are there still apes? The Apes and Africans live in the same environment, and you could argue the apes are better suited. They lack one thing, human level intelligence.

The first few seconds, yes. We do not know the exact size of whatever that created everything (Supposedly infinitely small).
The big bang I am sure will eventually be dis-proven. Either: 1. We got the entire thing wrong. 2. This proves god exists (something doesn't come from nothing), or 3. The galaxy has always existed, and we somehow fucked up the results seeing everything moving away from each other, or something happened we do not yet understand.
I can definitely see why people lie this theory though. Like creationism, it gives them some form of comfort that the universe is all they see, and that it is some sort of accident.
Scientific nihilism.

I had typed out a resposne to Nokya yesterday but never posted it because I thought I'd be better to just ignore.
But my GOD the ignorance some people spew is just amazing. (Not just Nokya)
The fact that people who have absolutely no knowledge of Physics/Astronomy just assert such utter bullshit while keeping a straight face is beyond me.

It is not an up or down evolution, it is, as LBuggery stated, traits suited to survival in the specific environment.
