Few weeks ago I saw Amon Amarth with Entombed and Evile. Next concert, well Rammstein in February but I might go see some bands before that. No plans.

I actually think crack the skye is their best work to date. Some great clean vocal-age there.

Re: Last and next concert
Last: Satyricon, Chthonic, Withering Soul, Rosenguard - the official city of the chicago cubs
luckily for me, the show was right off the blue line which runs 24 hrs, so getting there and back was not a problem.
Rosenguard, a local band were the first to go on and they were actually pretty good black/power metal mix. in between sets the entire neighborhood lost power for like 30 minutes. the club would have been pitch black but luckily they had some candles by the bars. I went downstairs to the underground/basement bar where the bands also hung out and had a few drinks with the dudes from Chthonic and Satyr himself. the bar tender hooked all of us up with shots which was fucking ace.
next up was Withering Soul, another local who were really good black metal. i've heard people say that the official city of the chicago cubs's metal scene sucks but those two bands neglect that statement I think. people need to stop being such pessimists. Chthonic was up next and they were most excellent. first time seeing them and there were also a lot of Taiwanese/Asians there to see them. great show all around, they really got the crowd pumped up. and of course Satyricon. before going to the show, I had heard people say that they weren't playing big crowds on this tour and that the band was not in the best shape. whatever man, the place was still packed (at least 600, maybe more) and the band sounded amazing. I was surprised at how many people knew the lyrics to the old songs, but also the new, which were sung aloud with satyr who was also very energetic and interacting with the crowd. they played for about 80+ minutes, playing new and old material. great show all around.
I will post some pictures later.
next: fuck if I know.
