For every action, an alternate universe is formed. For example, there's now a universe where I didn't write this post. I mean obviously there isn't literally another universe, but then again there might be. There's a universe in existence now where I didn't feel the need to qualify my explaination with the previous sentence.

yah, thats pretty crazy. i've heard about how this stuff kind of only exists in numbers ect...so its pretty hard to really picture and understand it. awesome stuff though. everytime i see a show on the discovery channel about this stuff, my eyes are glued.

according to some not only in numbers but in reality, through out of body experience you could experience them according to some scientists.

i saw the white light once when i was stoned. also, the void. just brief glimpses, but they were unmistakeably what the mystics speak of. also, i think maybe i've done astral travelling in my dreams. and, the lovely sleep paralysis. terrifying, but now i understand it and i look forward to it, even though it is terrifying.

i got my mom who has never smoked or drinked in her entire life to take mushrooms and she also saw the white light, she also saw an alien coming and looking here in the eye. Ive had sleep paralysis 5 times now, as terrifying every single time, i also heard loud vibrations, if i only could relax under it maybe i could have an out of body, if such a thing exists.

they unmistakeably exist in our experience, you know, subjectively. in that sense, there is no doubt that they exist. but, what they really are? scientific critics could be right, meaning they could just be dreams and/or our oxygen starved brain delivering a dream, or with sleep paralysis, being a defense mechanism, preventing us from moving during rem sleep, preventing us from rolling off a cliff while we are sleeping.

String/multiverse theory is interesting but there aren't a great deal of scientists that are willing to stand behind it as established science. Might change in the coming years with whatever they find at the LHC though.

yah i didn't watch the vid, but i have the book and have never taken the time to read the whole thing. i don't think i've seen that doc, but i have seen several episodes under the name "the universe". its all really hard for me to understand as i from what i've gathered, it only exists in mathematical theories, which are way above and beyond my understanding. i'm just hoping some one can explain it to me in simple and childish terms that i can actually picture in my imagination. time as the fourth dimension...(what it takes for you to observe one point travel to another point....right?) i can kind of understand this...but i want for someone to explain it in a simple romantic picture sort of way.

well even this reality that you experience now is subjective, all is in the mind and its all data. This reality is not the fundamental one.

yah, this reality (what i'm percieving not under the influence of drugs) isn't the "only" reality. with drugs, and even with what i've learned to explore (from drugs) also isn't the only reality. the sober reality is something different from those too. i totally embrace what i've learned from drugs, but i also understand that they just might not be real, that they just might be chemical reactions in my brain, and nothing else, meaning regular reality, like today and right now, might fall under the same category. meaning...whoo knows? the most distant reaches of our interperetation of reality might also be just chemical dreams, totally fake, but yet as real as the normal now? have you ever considered that?

yeah but that means if thats totally fake but yet as real as this reality then this reality is equally fake, this reality is also chemical reactions, its just data being interpreted in the mind so if we can tune ourselves and get other data then we experience another reality, like changing tv channel.

yah thats totally true, but it might also still be fake, or be vulnerable to a logical response from science. i must ask this question, as i've concerned myself with it too, do you think its possible (yes or no i'm asking of you) that everything you believe might be a ridiculous fantasy?

well if i am reading this correctly, and forgive me if i am making a mistake here because your writing is incredibly difficult to make sense of, you are essentially stating that reality is based on internal states of consciousness. that there are separate realities, accessible by altering states of consciousness. i am not sure how to interpret that as being anything but solipsistic.

yah, when i said ignore mortimer's post, it was intended at karmablade hoping that your post wouldn't interfere with my reponse to his post. but, yah solipsiticism. i'm gonna take a stab and say that its an important concept for you lately, maybe i'm wrong? i dunno, in the most desperate and ignorant of ways its a pretty viable concept. you know, if your life and you're existence ends when you die....then...all of existence is what you know. a famous philosopher, i can't think of the name once put it as, "we are all universes unto ourselves." then a grad school philosopher fellating lover of mine casually (as far as i heard) stated that he disagreed, and that we are simply the universe looking back on itself. which to me implies something more simple and less pseudo fantastical meaning that with every word we speak, like these ones now, we are just making sense of things about the present moment, (i suck and am too lazy about language...at this point i don't even know what the premise was for this your post, my post, and this thread.)

okay read back on it. seriously though, if you die and existence ends with it, in a way all that is known was based on your experience? it is kinda ridiculous, but i assume that based on your emphasis on solipsism, it must have been or is an issue for you, am a wrong or right just a little bit?

Re: dimensions and paralell universes

I don't have a fucking clue what 99% of that is. It's the standard model of particle physics with no explicit Higgs(boson responsible for gravity, still hypothetical). It's an attempt to unify the fundamental bits of matter(smaller than protons/neutrons and electrons) with the "force carriers" called bosons for 3 of the 4 main forces in nature(electromagnetism, weak and strong nuclear forces):

<!-- m -->http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_model<!-- m -->

It's the closest to a "theory of everything"(though very incomplete) that we have so far that isn't really wishful thinking like string theory, because the standard model has agreed with experiments for about 30 years now. String theory is still untestable, and it might always be that way who knows. I've never seen what the equations for string theory are like but they are supposed to be more elegant than that. Still, just because it's aesthetically pleasing doesn't mean the theory is correct.

This set of short videos(15) featuring a physicist from CERN explains a lot:

Part 5 starts talking about the standard model:

I think reality is subjective. There are no absolute truth, and people should make progress. It's critical that we investigate the mysterious in order to confirm our predetermined answers. How else will we learn?

everyone experiences sleep paralysis, because the somatic nervous system is effectively shut down during REM. you're just not usually aware of it because you're asleep.

We also need to know what results of experiments we want before we run the experiments. It's the most reliable way of knowing if the result is wrong.

You should try and have an out of body experience while playing at the gig. You can go and mingle in the crowd while you're still playing on stage. You'll be better able to judge your performance. You'll see yourself as Brock would.

hahah but seriously dont dismiss the idea of an out of body experience before really giving it a try(using hemi sync sounds)

Go watch some Stephen Hawkins videos on youtube. Really interesting stuff.

As for out of body experiences, I don't think they exist.

shyaaahhhh! but i still don't feel like i can wrap my head around a lot of this stuff. sure i can think of what a cool idea it is, but i just don't really understand it. i want someone to tell me in a very sweet, simple, and childish way about it.
Treys solo tone actually sounds a bit thin to me on Domination. It's definitely got a wah sound to it, even if he's not moving it with food it sounds like he has it turned on.
