I would take it as a warning. they damn well could intend to and maybe don't have a password set because maybe other people in the household aren't computer savvy. but if they are aware of you, i'd say they at least have some knowledge.

Most people don't set up passwords because either:
1. They don't know how to
2. They are too lazy
3. They have a number of computers, and consistently logging in to the internet has become a hassle (also goes along with 2).
