Drunk shows!1
We played tonight. probably like 30 poeople. I got drunk as piss beforehand adn I fuckedu p one of the songs! I hope we dont do that anymore...

could be worse!
of the two shows i played in my youth, during both of them our guitarist went way (way the fuck) off tempo and fucked everything up, turned around, and blamed everyone else for fucking up. stone sober!
on the last one he decided it would be a genius idea to steal the mic after our set was done, and announce that we were playing a new song, which at the time was only half-written. he then proceeded to play by himself for like a full minute while everyone (band and crowd alike) just kinda stood there and stared in a kind of collective WTF pose. we did not function very well as a band :(

hell if i know what he'll manage to accomplish. he was ultimately always a hack but he was proficient on the guitar as far as a bunch of naive high-schoolers were concerned, plus he had a car and was willing to drive all over the place, so we kept him around for a good while.
we used to be the best of friends and had kind of a falling out after the band drama. after that he prank-called my house and more specifically my father, repeatedly, and i literally threatened to gut him after i caught wind of the goings-on. he (rather wisely) backed off, and then i slashed his tires just for good measure. i'm not necessarily proud of that last part but goddamn, you can't provoke a dude and then move five houses up the street and then continue provoking said dude and expect everything is gonna work out just splendid.
that was all like 8 years ago though, it's nothing more than a funny story and a shameful reminder of past silliness
now we're facebook friends, although we don't actually talk. he's really into new-age shit these days, which is about the exact opposite of surprising. i'm still not entirely convinced he knows that i fucked up his car
