Re: world ov worms
It's a great record as Zyklon is a band that was never short of bringing forth lots of win but...

Re: world ov worms
although i find Aeon a bit catchier and more "fun" to listen to, i think WoW (lol) is more enjoyable overall becaouse of it's more industrialish vibe/atmosphere/sound

I actually forgot this album existed. let's listen to that shit again.

LET'S FUCKING GOOO!!! *breakdown*
still say they would have been better off had Daemon stayed in the band as the main vocalist.

they went to shit and some of their members occupied their time with more worthwhile projects (see: short-lived emperor reunion, morbid angel)

im not sure whats worse: that, or SHUT UP, SHUT UP YOOOOOOOOOOU!
oh man they're both so cringe-worthy, they ruin their whole respective albums for me. they're moments where i'm glad i heard them in the privacy of my own place because it's too embarassing to think that other people might have mistakenly get the impression that i enjoy said songs

i'm just glad suffocation returned to form with blood oath. it's my favorite suffocation album since effigy.
I don't have high hopes for Zyklon though.

it's one of the things that baffles me in a very major way, about really poor decisions like these in music. i will never understand how moments like those make it through the long process of songwriting, rehearsal, recording, production, etc. etc. unscathed. there's so many people involved, are they all really just as lacking in taste as these really ill-advised moments :\
do you think frank mullen had to convince himself that was a good idea? it also makes you wonder if any of the other band members heard it and went "uhh...frank? maybe we should, you know, not have that part in the song."
He probably replied "CAN YOU HELP ME? I SEEM TO HAVE MISPLACED MY SOUL!" to which the rest of the band went "Well lets make sure the music is good at least."

abso-fucking-lutely. also would've helped if they didn't ditch pretty much everything that made WoW stand out in favor of a polished-sounding but ultimately generic-as-fuck dm/bm hybrid. they pretty much tossed all restraint and any semblance of atmosphere out the gay man's telescope after the first album, not an awful lot to work with after they ditched the latter :|
