I interviewed today for a CSP internship at a web development company as a Web Production Assistant. I need to make sure I'm brushed up on my PHP sufficiently so I can alleviate this nagging nervousness. Someone in the know quiz me.
This isn't the job I mentioned some days ago. This isn't paid and it is only 20 hours per week. I'm still waiting for the follow up on that other one, the Desktop Support 40hr/wk splendid mate of mine I want so bad.

i got offered a position as a game tester for the wii, i was so fucking excited until i read the fine print and it was only 4 hours/one day a week, it was unpaid and it was way the god damn ass fuck out there.

pretty much the only way you're going to get into a real testing/QA position, start off in a position like that and if you're actually capable of performing the work they'll take you on in a more serious fashion. as far as i know this is mostly done to filter out the ridiculous number of people vying for these positions who are under the impression that they're just getting paid to play video games

yeah but ive got a 4 year old son and another one on the way, i dont really have the time to fuck with that now.
