ya but thats just it. they are acting. no politicians are themselves. they are all a bunch of fucking brown-nosing suckups. they act a certain way so they can appeal to as many people as possible to get elected and thats not who they really are. thats why we have so much corruption in our government, because politicians lie about what they really believe, who they really are, and what they really want to get accomplished in order to look good to as many people as possible and get as many votes as they can.

politics is all theater though, imo. and think about it, you have to draw massive amounts of crowds in order to get your message across, it's just inevitable a politician would have to say different things to appeal to different voter sectors and demographics. and of course every presidency is all about ego, but that just comes with the job i would think. you have many different legacies of presidents who have done some pretty amazing things in their career, so it's only natural to want to stand out and try to make it on the top of that oh-so-precious "historians greatest presidential ranking system."

And the best part about all that:

Most people don't notice, and if they do, they don't give a shit.

ya i agree. its just a shame that power corrupts and there is no exception. i mean a country would be best run by a benevolent dictator, but that is just never going to happen. the whole problem with our country is that it takes forever for anyone to do anything because of all the bureaucracy, so nothing ever gets done in any efficient amount of time. Hitler took Germany from a piece of shit in debt forever country to almost taking over the world. If he wasnt a crazy splendid mate of mine he could have just taken over the world with LOVE :redneck:

but seriously, we look at the mayans, and the incans, and the egyptians like what the fuck? how did you build all that shit? well its surprising what humans can do when we put our minds to it/are forced to put our minds to it. So if there was actually ever a benevolent supreme leader who honestly did everything in the best interest of every individual not only of his/her country but of the entirety of humanity, then maybe we could actually launch ourselves into the "age of aquarius" as so many hippies liked to put it. but thats never going to happen :krinor:

Nazi Germany still had a fuckton of bureaucracy.

It's also impossible to act in the best interest of every individual. Some people want x while others want z.
