gentle giant are awesome. they have some of the craziest poly rhythms of any band ever. I feel like they are a satire of all english culture. their lyrics and the pompous english feel that they have. great band.

ya but so is metal and jazz and pop. but ya i know what you mean. Van Der Graaf is really good for inducing synesthesia as their lyrics are very visual and fit with the music really well (aka they are good to smoke pot to and take mushrooms). you should check them out. theyre one of those bands that takes a couple listens to really sink in though. just check out progarchives.com for their best albums etc.
