And South of heaven by Slayer was my seccond, also in 1988.

I can't honestly tell you when the first "metal" album I bought was. I know I bought some Rage Against the Machine waaay back.

As far as my first death metal album, Black Seeds of Vengeance, 2001.

first experience with heavy metal was some Iron Maiden cd's that my old cousins lend me. "Live after death" and "The number oif the beast"

, also a tape of Judas priest, on a side "Stained Class", on the other side "Defenders of the faith". I was 13

( I listened to Kiss and Black Sabbath before this, but they don't count for real "metal" definition...

Metallica & Megadeth for me, just like a lot of people.

First taste of death metal was a strange mix cd an ex band member had brought over to the practice room at the time, the song I heard was Deicide - Children of The Underworld.. followed by MA - Where The Slime Live. Actually, I'm not sure which song i heard first. I think I might have heard MA first and mistakenly thought the Deicide song was MA

Sabbath and Metallica back in the day when i was but a wee lad. and then i bought MAs Altars of Madness, Nile's In Their Darkened Shrines, and Darkthrone's A Blaze In The Northern Sky all at the same time back in my early high school days. i dont remember the year. 2002 or 2003 maybe. i never looked back
