i really like the tiny terror, once i have some money coming in that's on the to-buy list for sure. haven't had a chance to play around with the DT though
But I also need to purchase a good all-around mic (going for the CAD e100s), for vocals and guitar cabs, which will cost me around €300,- incl shipping from the US. (gotta love the Euro/US Dollar currency haha).
The single channel terror sounds awesome. With an OD + volume knob on a guitar you could probably get any sound you wanted. I take the dual is the same but with a higher gain channel?
Sometimes less control over EQ can be a good thing. Its very easy to dial in a shit tone with most EQ's on amps I've played with. This amp is very popular, so I guess that means most settings on the amp will sound good:
that's a pretty good price! a good amount cheaper than what most stores here sell it for, even factoring in the VAT you have to pay. there is one site here that sells the dual terror for about $650 shipped, which is a steal as most major dealers in the US get about $900 for 'em o-0
out of curiosity, any idea what the difference between the regular and hand-wired models are? the HW TT is more than double the cost of the standard model ($1000 vs $450), and at a glance they seem to have the same specs
I am guessing handwired means they were put together entirely by hand, instead of mass-produced. Quality control is probably better?
The dark terror is supposed to be metal oriented, but the sounds I've heard sound meh. The tiny terror on its own sounds better imo although obviously not as high gain. Have you considered the Egnater Rebel 20? They look more versatile than the Dual terror. If I ever decide to get an amp again it'll be either that or a tt.
Haven't checked the Egnater. It reminds me a bit of the Engl Screamer 50 top, which is an amazing thing.
I think this Orange dual terror would be a good choice for me, I just really want to try one out.
I'm not necessarily looking for an all-metal amp, but more of a rock/crunchy/growly thing that I can also use for say heavy metal, hard rock, blues, jazz and black metal.
Been checking out the TT a bit, apparently it can't do cleans except at low volumes, because it starts to distort. If you want a clean you might want to check out this:

Fender-y amp with a gain channel, and it sells for around 250€. That brand also has a 50W style head version (single channel I think) which is more of a clean type-only amp and a plexi-style head for around the same
