im from australia and my box arrived exactly the same as yours C.Heretic.hopefully it doesnt happen again to us! after waiting so long it was a huge kick in the guts wasnt it!

Yes it was brother. The waiting is what sucks. I got an email this morning from the French office stating that a new box would be coming as well but they also did not give a time-frame. I think it is a safe assumption to make that most people who got their box-set had it fucked.

this reminds me of the slimepack debacle that happened with domination. i am sure that morbid angel knows at this point what is going on with the boxes, and i assume that they really don't care. season of mist probably wanted to do this, cause they signed ma, and were probably huge ma fans back in the day. so they put out this supposed "comeback" album, treating it like a huge event and they farmed the packaging out to whoever could do it cheapest and this is what we wind up with after 8 years. the shitty construction of the boxes is not surprising. the fact that they cost alot of fucking money is.

AND i agree with scott. learn to fucking pack a box. ebulliton has an entire primer on box packing on their distro page.

shame on you som.

to me, it seems that morbid angel is continuing for the wrong reasons, but maybe it comes down to the fact that this is what they know to do. it has been apparent that they are at a creative low point and are really not the creative force i knew and loved so much at this point. but everyone has to make a living somehow. hopefully they will come around and put an album out that glosses over this last blemish on an otherwise incredible run of recordings.

i will not buy this album. i won't even download it illegally to laugh at it. it's just not that funny.

now i'm going to band practice with my fellating lover who's other band just got signed to and works for relapse. i'm sure he has an interesting take on all this as well.

i got the new 1 today and it was properly packed-bubble wrap everywhere,and a free cd-imperium oekadenz(not bad-folky black metal)as a sorry gift i suppose!i glued my other box together and it looks about 80% so now i can display other ma stuff in that 1 2

The replacement box came FUCKED! The doors were laying off and the drawer was crooked.

Contacted SoM and they sent me a third. Well, third's the charm.

Looks fucking great (will try to get pics up later) and I have 2 additional boxes I have repaired.

I want to customize, but want to do it right.

Yes! The second one came to me broken also. SO contacted them and bitched. I believe I put up pictures of that fucking bitch They sent a third. It was also almost like so-so, but hell, at least it wasn't shattered. So for the price of one I now have three of them bitches.
