Really catchy and sounds like a big arena type properly done metal/ rock anthem! Thor must have had his hammer with him in the studio cuz his leads are badass

To me this song has a fantastic ''classical music waltz'' feeling, with those dancing guitar layers and drums! Vocals are Mighty and Godly, the solo is great and has a lot of character and I just love how the guitar slides in in the beginning of the song + the crowd chanting suits the song perfectly!

It's an allaround Morbidly fun song :redneck:

Worst one on the record, which is saying a lot. Even worse than Radikult.

I don't hear a waltz in there. There's nothing mighty about these vocals and the soloing is a joke. Thor is a great riffer and I guess he can play leads competently, but he can't compose a solo for shit. His phrasing is terrible and they just don't sound...composed. I don't know how to put it better than that. They just sound like "I need to fill this space with some high notes."

Since when is Morbid Angel supposed to be "fun?" Any retarded jock or Papa Roach fan could get into this song, but Morbid Angel's not supposed to be for them.

It's cool to be fooled. Congratulations.

Well, I have FUN with every Morbid Angel album, they are all so lively + so deadly and full of imagination - they just make me explode in hapiness, and that makes it FUN for me

Each album is fun In the sense of all having pure soul and dedication and excitement. Every album tells a story and this one has a little different message. So saying morbid angel isn't fun is like saying viramea is, a million robot notes a minute, so fucking annoying! Listen to where the slime live and tell me u don't grin because that riff is so redicilously heavy!! Or tell mr formulas doesnt have a fun energetic atmosphere to it!

Absolutely. But it is one thing to have fun while enjoying an album. It's another to write music that itself is mindless fun. Meaning easily digested, accessible, not very "deep," everything on the surface. There's a place for music like that, but if I had to come up with a few words to describe Morbid Angel music over the years, "fun" wouldn't be on there although I have myself enjoyed it a lot, and it's brought me joy. Something like "I Am Morbid" falls under the category of "fun" to me, although I don't enjoy it. You could throw it on at a party and non-death metal fans would probably bob their heads to it and enjoy it as much as they enjoyed the latest Linkin Park record. Which is not the idea.

Seriously? Trey has written some quite classicly inspired stuff in the past, if I'm not mistaken some of the stuff on Heretic was meant to be like a waltz. This song is nowhere near a waltz though, it's just a plodding, uniform 4/4 beat all the way through... and thats part of what makes it so boring to me. I listen to stuff on the other records, particularly Blessed and the music sounds warped and twisted, almost as if its not quite moving straight forward. Before Illud I would never of described any of MA's songs, even the slower ones like God Of Emptiness and Nothing is Not, as plodding, they always have some drive and something to keep them fresh, interesting and allow them to stand out from the crowd.

He learned some new phrases like layering etc. Without even understanding what it really means in a production.

More likely this fucking cunt is just absorbing scattered keywords on other mindless idiots' comments elsewhere about the album, then regurgitating them without any actual purpose, aside from fellating the album, of course.

What he said.

Haha you really hear a "waltz" in there Gmajnar? (he's banned now so he can't reply but anyway), it's entirely a 4/4th measure! A waltz is a 6/8th measure which can be devided into a 3/4th measure. Just because Trey said they had "a waltz thing going on", you hear it now too? Because Trey mentioned this in an interview you copy these terms thinking you know what they mean. But clearly you don't, plus the source that you got it from had it wrong as well! You're pathetic.
