What gear are you using? Sounds like you are recording direct? Use some impulses or something :santa:

You aren't going thorugh a speaker cabinet, that's why it sounds buzzy and nasal. You should research guitar cab impulses and implement them for a MUCH better sound.

Check out: <!-- m -->http://www.guitarampmodeling.com/<!-- m -->

Get the guitarhack ones to start off with and see what works best for you.

Also, dunno what kind of amplification or what not you are using, but try using an amp sim together with a quality impulse. Check out LePou.

Very much all of the above, except I swear by <!-- m -->http://www.voxengo.com/product/boogex/<!-- m --> for impulses. I just find it easier, plus the built in impulses are awesome :santa:

Ah, I see. I actually already had a LePou plug-in on my PC, I downloaded another that sounded rad. I was actually using Ampeg SVT for the bass, I didn't know it was called impulses.

It took forever to render, my PC isn't exactly new.

I uploaded a new version on the Soundcloud with said plug-in and a butchered solo. :redneck:

LeCab2 is better imo. Free too. That LePou hard-on bearer sure deserves some fucking huge respect for what he's doing. He and TheSerinaExperiment team are on the forefront of amp modeling right now, and both offer their amp sims for free (they do get donations, but don's ask for money). Amazing.
