The bacteria releasing a "chemoattractant"?

By calling it a chemoattractant doesn't mean they can avoid the "what's so attractive about it?" question. There are countless molecules floating around in the Neutrophil's vicinity. What is it about some molecules that pisses it off? Or, maybe the better question, what is it about everything else that it just sards about?

My initial theory would be that it evolved to target the chemoattractant exclusive to harmful bacteria.
