It should have a feature on Illud Divinum Insanus and a free CD (probably an interview done in Marseilles). Anyone checked it out yet?

I'm pretty sure it will feature an interview with Trey. Morbid Angel will fittingly be on the cover of the June issue. So this is probably some sort of teaser for a more extensive special on the band next month.

I bought it yesterday... was a bit of a bummer: only some general info on the album and a small interview with David... nothing new there...

I guess the next issue will be the one that really matters... I definitely expect them to be on the cover and at least a 6-page feature.

(anyone remembers the Terrorizer-issue on FFTTF - now that was a cool feature!)

The whole Formulas Fatal to the Flesh article is featured in this "Reissue" edition, it's the exact same article.

But of course. Between one of us we will get the shit posted :xx: My copy should be here next week.

I don't know if Maze has one as well or just showing us what to look for. I am curious to know what the 40 death metal bands that must be heard are, plus that FFTTF interview

The 40 DM bands? My guess includes:

Morbid Angel

Deicide

Immolation

Death

Obituary

Carcass

Cannibal Corpse

Nile

Gorguts

Bolt Thrower

Vader

Autopsy

Immolation

Incantation

And then side projects of those bands, horrible newer bands, and a handful of solid groups that might not have qualified as death metal.

Yes I have it. It's a awesome magazine. Drum Solo is actually right. It's all the classic DM bands. All you can think of.

The Terrorizer-issue with the FFTTF-interview wasn't the one you guys refer to. It had Trey in live-action on the cover and it had like 8 pages on the 'then to be released FFTTF-album'. One month prior to its release it was one of the first big revealing interviews on that album and that really made it a great feature.

I just hope the next Terrorizer-issue also fills us in on all the details of the new album, just like that issue did on Formulas. After 8 long years MA deserves a cover-shot.

The issue they are talking about was a compilation issue which drew together a load of different death metal features from different issues of Terrorizer over the years.

Isn't your band Thanatos? And you play guitar so you must be Stephan Gebedi or Paul Baayens? For some reason both names don't fit

Obviously The burning of sodom is a cover of that song. Jesus wept is an older Thanatos song written in the early era of the gloryhole and later released on our second album Realm of Ecstacy (92). Has nothing to do with Suffo. Thanatos has been around since 1984.....

I do not get the "full of references" comment

I checked the band's page at Wikipedia a quickie. I saw one studio album called "The Burning of Sodom/...And Jesus Wept" released 2006. I thought it was a reference to the Dark Angel and Suffocation songs

It was a limited edition 7" single of 500 pcs. Because of the limited avaliability those two songs were included on our last one.

Okay end of story. Just mentioned the mag cause there are some shots of the band in there which i thought was fun. Lets talk MA again.
