me too actually come to think of it...

There's a few things I like - like his tuned solo stuff.

His Zappa stuff is good too - but not too keen on his 'groove' & straight playing.

Minnerman is prob one of my favs

that's an awesome video. i remember when i first started seeing chad wackerman i thought his personality was really stiff compared with the rest of the band but he was a great drummer

he was just the best drummer for the 80's zappa era because he appeared so relaxed all the time like zappa himself

especially when frank does his really peculiar and awesome solo performance chad always accompanied him with really cool rythm variations

i'm not sure, i watched the show on a bootleg dvd but it was about the same quality as the youtube vids

that doesnt look like proper technique to me, so probably a lot. I could be wrong though.

the swivel foot, as it's so called, really isn't a "technique" more-so than an adaptation by your muscles because you're going so fast and trying to conserve energy at the same time. however, it looks like he's "doing it wrong" because your whole leg shouldn't be moving, only your ankles/feet.
