[quote name="Leviathan"]Hello all,
Just barely found this board after looking for info on the band that has been elusive. Doesnt seem to be anything new other than (pretty damn cool) artwork on the official site for some time. I've been a Morbid Angel fan since Covenant first came out when I was fresh into Jr high. Ive played covers from MA, Slayer, Pantera, etc.. but havent played in a while.
Though BSing and meeting fellow MA fans is cool, What Im mainly after is info regarding the FFtF album i.e. the sumerian language and references to Bil Ur Sag. Im no stranger Simons Necronomicon etc., though this info seems to be rather elusive. Any tips, clues, URLs, blogs etc. that would help me further elucidate would be way appreciated.
Thanx

A lot of it is Trey's own word compounds and descriptions. Bil Ur-Sag, for example, is not mentioned in any actual known tablet. It's elusive because it's only in the album. Also, the Simon Necronomicon is a hoax. I mean, really... come on. If you want to study Mesopotamian language and mythology, however, here are a few good resources to get you started:
