i think it's one of the best examples of a single vocalist mixing up great clean vox with growls, some of the lines are just back and forth into and out of it, with emotion, the one word can start clean and end a growl and vice versa, also cool change-ups, catchy riffs, heavy vibes but also pared back. an underrated classic. i still remember when this album came out people were dismissing it because they thought the singer sounded too much like mikael aekerfeldt but he's totally different, as is the music
