Serpents Rise with Derek Roddy?

I just recently found Derek Roddy's project, Serpents Rise. What's your take on it?

If a remember right on of the reasons why Derek created it is because of the bad reputation of harsh vocals,
and he wanted to show that there can be made fruital and catchy music without it, which is a point I share.
