i know i already made a pat metheny thread, but this is something else. for his latest album he took the mechanical player piano concept to the next level. a playing piano reads music like a computer and plays the music acoustically. he made an album with lots of instruments doing the same and he will tour with it.

this might be an to a purist, but he addresses that at 4:20.



"one of the really interesting things is that it is so personal to the way i hear music, and a lot of that is because literally every sound that's there is a sound that i made in one way or another."



it's cuz everything is controlled by either his guitar, pc, or foot pedals.



i find it painful and hopeless and funny how you people will respond to a fucking BURZUM thread and not this. jesus christ. i grew up hanging with you hoodlums. instead of playing chords with friends, i played slayer and metallica riffs.
