I read a lot about Jim, I am also re-reading for the second time a big book about him. I am fucking sure about a thing: he was a very sensible person, with genius ideas, he was a sort of "proto-punk", noone acted like him in the period. The Doors was imo the first real sex, drugs, rock'n roll band. Jim was really a free-sex, freedom man. He thought to be a poet, before than a rockstar. The movie is just a movie.....Ray Manzareck ( The doors keyboard player) said that the movie is a fucking crap, that shows only the negative part of Jim.
Jim Morrison and The Doors was really the first band that in my childhood I really loved. I sarded them from many years, now I like to listen them every now and then
