Are you friends with your co-workers?

Post by Paste Human »

I don't just mean joking around on the clock and taking lunch together. Do you actually do stuff on weekends or after work?

I've never been able to do this. When I'm at work I just want to get my job done as fast and as perfectly as I can, and then disappear until tomorrow. I get off at 3AM so there's not much to do after that besides strip clubs and casinos, and there's no way I'm spending my weekend with people I see all week anyway.

Some people I work with keep trying to organize things for us to do, and they're nice enough people, but the way I see it we spend enough time together as it is. They seem put off by that. I don't really care, but I'm surprised that they're surprised.

i consider most of my coworkers friends - we've all hung out after work, at work after hours, gone to movies, out to eat, etc. i'm really lucky to work with a crew where there's not a single person i dislike.

there's one duder i would hang out with, we talk sports all the time. i would jam some beers with him, particularly during football season

and my direct boss is cool, we have a lot of the same friends and have hung out at parties and stuff. i respect her, plus she is silly. i would jam beers with her as well

i get along with everyone here except one editor whom no one gets along with or cares for. those are the two people i like the most and would try, actively, to chill with after work times

I'm still friends with some people I used to work with. My current job not so much since I really don't have any coworkers

No, but I am friends with a sexy leopard elevator I used to work with. Wooks also knows this person in the real world.

I'd probably grab some beers and shit with the dudes who work in the shop building dem buses. And, my bosses are okay for the most part but I wouldn't spend time with them outside of work.

No. I go to work to make money, not to make friends. I get along fine with them though.

I've made friends at most jobs, but this one is pretty limited to work... or maybe I'm just a recluse now.

i am friendly with my coworkers, but i haven't endeavored to hang out with them or anything. i am hoping to make my tenure there as short as possible so i'm not getting terribly attached to anyone or anything.

i was invited to meet up with some people at a bar near my old place last weekend, but i opted to drink at home instead.

nine hours of sitting in a call center is actually pretty draining, doubly so since my work schedule fucks with my eating schedule. when i leave, i want to be silent and then eat. going out to a loud bar with coworkers immediately afterward is conducive to neither of those things

i went out with regular friends on saturday instead :santa:

In my previous company, yes we'd regularly go out on Fridays and get drunk. One of the managers even 'rented' a girl for an all-boys gathering back in 2016.

In my current company...they're okay and we're all on friendly terms but they're more conservative and would rather talk about their families and raising kids and such.

Mostly 18 - 20 year olds work with the agency i am more a mom to them since they are just learning to run a house/caregive. Have one more experienced person closer to my age and she is a god send in the house.

My old coworkers and I were pretty close. They actually had a going away party for me right before I left Florida, one person who moved away drove 3 hours just to hang out. Haven’t really made that same connection here in Minnesota yet.

Friends are over rated. Don't know what the big deal is. There are only interests that temporarily coincide with yours.

I try not to talk or hang out with people with whom I am in a drug study. Right now Im getting paid 15000 dollars to be injected with ketamine. Because of covid, there are less areas in which people can just "hang out" anyway. You need to wear a mask unless you are in your room by yourself. But even so, I dont need anymore study buddies. Most of the people who do this are a bunch of weirdos.

When I am high in a study, I say to myself "to think I used to pay as much as 20 bucks to feel this way" as I trip balls and watch Hello Kitty cartoons from the 80s, or youtube self help gurus like Hamza Ahmed.
