Kay, let's get this straight, I don't base my songs on genre whatsoever. I just keep recording until I'm done with the song, I sing, scream, and rap. I use real instruments as well as synths, I do all the guitar and sometimes real drums using 2 Rockband drum kits and some DIY skills. I MAKE ALL THE INSTRUMENTALS and PLAY LIVE SHOWS. I have been playing instruments since I was 12 and play guitar, keyboard, drums, bass, and some violin. Some songs are going to be more rap, some more rock, some more dancey, some a huge mix, some very simple, I DON'T CARE. I listen to MUSIC. I MAKE MUSIC. AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DOING IT, I spend about 18 hours a day recording....

thats like, innovative, man
i dunno, i always thought it was pretty cool you could rig 'em up to a module and use it like any old electronic kit. sure, you're not going to have the responsiveness or dynamics on the scale of something like a high-end v-kit, but it's a nice option to have if you lack the cash to drop on a something more upscale (and happen to have the kit lying around anyway).
on the downside, i believe the stock kick-pedals are supposed to be kinda flimsy
